Started with Two faculty members in 1984, the Department of Political Science of KSN Government Degree College for Women, Anantapuram gradually blossomed into a centre with strong commitment of Teaching. The Department started with  K. Venkatasubbaiah and K. Prabhakar Reddy were entrusted with the taste of building up the new Department. They nurtured the Department with great care, Determination and Vision. At present Dr.D.Jayalakshmi working as Regular Faculty and M.Obulpathi working as Guest Faculty.  A PG Course in Public Administration was started in the academic year of 2012-13.


1.Two UGC sponsored National Seminars on “Human Rights and Human Values” were conducted.  

2. A workshop on “50% Women Reservation in Local Self Government” has been organized in collaboration with EENADU News Agency.


- To prepare students to face Competative Exams specially in Groups.

      - Transforming  students of Rural background into good citizens.


 To promote civic partnerships and engagement for solutions in public affairs.


To facilitate the University in fulfilling its larger mission; while sustaining competitiveness through scholarship, innovation, leadership, and community service towards the transformation of Caribbean society.
