History

The Department of History started along with the B.A.(HEP) Course at the beginning of the College in 1984 with History, Economics, Political Science in Telugu Medium. Later B.A.(HEP) EM also introduced in 1985.  The Department consists two sanctioned posts with workload of 44 hours per week.  

The Department is proud to say  that several lecturers of outstanding skills and knowledge worked in the Department.   To name a few ., Sri Y. Ramachandran Principal FAC , Sri L.Subba Reddy and Sri M.C.V. Subba Reddy , Sri D.Jaffarmodin (Principal FAC), Sri T.Ramachandra Reddy, Smt N. Srirangamma,  Sri Y.Ramalinga Reddy etc.,all contributed much for development of the department as well as College.  Now Dr.K.V.Ramana, Reader  and Dr.C.Sulochana , Lecturer are working as Faculty of the Department.  

Best Practices :-

1.Smt. N. Sree  Rangamma , Rtd Lecturer in History is sponsoring every year endowment prize to the History Toppers worth of 1500/- .

2. Dr. K.V. Ramana Reader in History is sponsoring endowment prize  worth of Rs.1000 for the history topper every year on the name of his mother K.Venkatamma.

3. The Department conducted free coaching for outgoing students in PG-CET and Ed-CET Examinations during summer vacations 

Future Plans:

To resume the certificate course in tourisim Managment.

Planning to introduce certificate course in Archaeology.

It has also started the certificate course in Yoga and Ethics.

To meet the growing of student community the additional courses in B.A. Degree with history combination have introduced in college along with B.A.HEP (TM & EM)
