a) Strength:

  1. .Internal Seminars in the department are conducted regularly.
  2. Teachers are resourceful and skilled enough in catering need of the students.

b) Weakness:

  1. The department has no separate library with adequate no. of text and reference books.
  2. Class rooms are not ICT equipped
  3. Scarcity of funds to promote certain important activates for students.

c) Opportunity:

  1. The departmental course is designed to meet the changing need of the students.
  2. The available infrastructure could be better used for upholding the teaching-learning process.

d) Challenges:

  1. Making the present course curriculum at par with the state level.
  2. Raising the level of competition with other institutions.
  3. Future Plans

1.As more and more students get deeply interested, opportunity may be provided to such students who wish to study Sanskrit  not as a second language but as a main language at U.G level which facilitates them to read many more Sanskrit texts with a deeper understanding and better appreciation. Such students can even become teachers of Sanskrit if provided an opportunity.

2. As there is not Sanskrit department in S.K.University

at P.G level, provision may be provided to sanction P.G course in Sanskrit to our college, affiliated to S.K university. This will help many students to pursue higher courses in Sanskrit and such students stand change of getting better jobs in higher institutions.
